Alopecia and Hair Loss Treatment
ALOPECIA
The word Alopecia actually means ‘hair loss’ and there are several types of alopecia. The most common of these is known as ‘androgenetic alopecia’ otherwise known as male or female pattern baldness. While men typically suffer pattern baldness with receding hairlines and bald spots on the crown of the head, women typically experience generalized thinning over the entire top of the head.

Autoimmune disorders such as Alopecia Areata / Totalis or Universalis, occur when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks itself and more commonly, the deepest part of the hair follicle resulting in temporary hair loss.

This can vary from patchy hair loss over any area of the scalp – alopecia areata, to loss of all scalp hair – alopecia totalis, or even loss of all scalp and body hair, including eyebrows and eyelashes – alopecia universalis.

HAIR LOSS TREATMENTS
In partnership with The Alopecia Clinic we offer proven treatments for the prevention of hair loss and replacement of lost hair. The team have researched and practised the most effective methods available, and importantly made them as affordable as they can.

Laser Hair Recovery
This revolutionary hair loss treatment has arrived in Olney!

Laser Hair Recovery, a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment, together with Minoxidil, stimulates blood flow to the scalp, replenishing hair follicles thus encouraging your hair to regrow.

We are one of the few clinics in the country that can offer Laser Hair Recovery. A controlled course of treatment has proven hair regrowth results for 80% of clients.

Therapeutic red light stimulates blood supply to the hair bulb and scalp, increasing the number of red blood cells that deliver vital oxygen and nutrients. This activity breaks down the collection of dihydrotestosterone ( DHT ) the hormone responsible for hair loss, thus encouraging healthy hair follicles into regrowth.

Laser light does not generate heat; it does not burn the veins or hurt the skin and it works on all areas of the scalp: front, top, back and sides.

Hair Loss Remedy
Our product started out as a remedy to help reduce high blood pressure, however, it was discovered that it had one strange side effect: hair growth. This can be applied topically to the affected areas of the scalp and this also helps prevent the formation of DHT and promotes hair follicles into regrowth. Used in conjunction with the Laser, greatly increases the chances of success.

Medical Tattooing
Using our advanced techniques, medical tattooing can be used to help camouflage or simulate scalp hair, which makes bald areas less noticeable and sufferers less conscious of their condition. This procedure does not harm hair follicles and does not impede hair growth.
